I have a parts Dodge DRW Dana 61.

I bought a GM Dana 60 for $400 with no hubs.

I had my DRW hubs turned down to be SRW hubs.

I ordered some Dorman wheel studs.

I need calipers, seals, bearings, etc.

Is there a difference between the Dodge and Chevrolet caliper mounts?

Are the Dodge and GM calipers different?

Are the SRW and DRW calipers different?

I assume the wheel seals, and bearings are the same?

Let me know, thanks.

Martin

Wheel bearings are all the same.

Calipers are also the same between drw and srw.

Ford did different calipers...the rest are the same. Mounts are also the same.

I always assumed the calipers were the same between SRW and DRW as well, but when I was looking up parts, they listed some calipers as for being used with DRW. Hence my confusion.

dodge and gm same basic caliper just the way the line bolts up and banjo bolt size.

last one I did calipers were junk so I cored them and got them for the gm truck it was in and good to go .

as to srw to drw calipers = no difference.

brackets can swap also .

the knuckles can swap also . and dodge has tie rod arms cast up higher than gm location on knuckles if your looking for clearance .

stub shafts and 1 side inner are same as gm .

What's the best place to buy bearings/seals? Preferably a kit.

Martin

rockauto best prices I have found sofar.

as to a kit not sure .

but do NOT buy parts store brands without checking them first. last time I was at autozone there is no more Timken bearings . all autozone brand stuff. no name/part # / or even a part origin location . some scary stuff there selling us these days .

but have you even cleaned and checked your current bearings ? if they look good grease them up and do seals . its rare I have had to change bearings on my stuff.

The Dana 60 I bought, had no hubs.

The Dana 61 bearings were toast.

For the sake of info...

Doesn't a 61 use a regular 60 4.10 carrier for all ratios?

Nope. The 3.07 carrier I'm not sure about but anything above the 3.07 used a specific carrier that is hard to source 61s came with 4.10s from the factory but it's rare.

Using a 4.56 carrier and a special thin bearing plus a ring gear spacer and you can put in several different gearsets. I can't remember the limits.

I put 6.17s in a 61 and it required a custom machined .490 thick spacer. Plus the 4.56 carrier and the thin bearing
