Whats involved with putting a 60 dually under my K5? What do I have to do to make this work?

Nope, at least not with the rims. I have never swapped a 60 in, my vehicles came with them so I am not sure about the brake hose changes needed. The springs and shock mounts are in the correct place. You will need the spring plates and some new ubolts of course.

k5-newbie, its for 2 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So it would prob cost about the same either way to remedy the issue. Four hummer rims two modified and two not or two new sw hubs.

first of all problmes is that 1 ton run 40" spring pad spacing unlike your K5

next is axle WMS width issues, and then youll need dually bed fenders and have to cut out your bedside flares larger just like on factory dually fleetside bed sides and put in reinforcement metal and bolts or weld it all, then driveshaft u joint issues, brake hose line issues and so forth.,

good luck

I am running a dually front and hummer wheels. It is cheaper by far to get the wheels then the hubs. Check e-bay and look around this site and others for a deal on a pair. I payed around $50 each shipped to my door.
