I have a Dana 60 front and have done the B-52 with high cross over steering. Since the spring pack is less than original the inner bolts for passenger side spring plate is too long. For now just placed a bunch of washers so I can move the blazer around. I'll be using it just for a hunt truck. Changing to studs is better? Do I need to add a center bolt for added insurance? I have the stock spring plates. Seen WFO have the studs. Which studs are best?

never used studs . i just get the length bolt i need or cut a few threads off to make it correct and NOT bottom out . there grd 8 bolts .

not saying studs are bad . i just never used them in this position before .

It's the easier way to go, thanks for the reply

no problem . and the bottom of the holes in the 60 housing are domed a bit NOT flat . thats why the factory bolts are semi domed at the thread ends .

A guy had a you tube video which was pretty good but long. Replaced bolts with studs and drill and tapping a center hole for a bolt. At the end he showed drills and tap used and supplier.

From my experience, studs tend to last longer. Some enginerd here might be able to chime in on the science for one way or the other. Whenever I have done bolts they bend or shear
