dana 60 king pin brass bushing kit?

Yep just the plastic goes away. I have a few of Mac's things on my truck. Awesome guy and great parts.:D

I always had the bad luck of the plastic breaking in half. This my be a solution.

From there page
"The advantage to the Ampco bushing is….. they are strong enough and tough enough to be used by themselves with no Preload spring you can use an adjusting stud in your hysteer arms to set the right amount of preload.

These have been ran in a few different KOH rigs and they survived the beating where similar nylon bushings have shattered!!!!!!!!!!"

my plastic breaks all up too, i just shove it back in there, grease the bitch up, and drive it like i stole it... for now..

And how are you supposed to know how much preload to put in? I like the idea of no crap plastic for a bushing, but it's worked well so far. I've looked at the preload adjustable arms, just don't know what I'm doing in that department.

I would imagine you could preload that setup by feel. Doesn't need a whole lot of load. Just enough to keep movement to a minimum with a little pressure on the tapered cone and spacer would work I would think...

When I went to preload arms I adjusted the preload with a fish scale. I think it was 20 pounds of pull.

The instructions that I got with my arms said to adjust the preload until you can't turn the hub/rotor side to side by hand.

Wow! If that's what it needs to be, then the kingpins need a rebuild right now on my 60

i called ballistic when i got my torque arms and they said about 20 foot pounds or just tight nothing crazy they set them up by hand all the time. No problems so far and no death wobble.
