Anyone use the dana 60 mad 4x4 axle tube seals..? I have a slight seal leak, im wondering could i use these when i do my 35 spline stub upgrade imstead of tearing the whole deal apart...i know its not the greatest idea.

I would change the inner seals if you are all ready going to have the axle apart to swap the axle shafts. Pull diff cover and the 4 carrier bolts and your carrier is out. Install is just as simple. No shims to mess with they are pressed between the bearings and carrier.

chances are your inner axles are going to be rusty and pitted and those seals aren't going to seal to them near the outside. The inner part of the axle is machined smooth for the seal. Make sure you clean it up good, maybe use some fine sandpaper (220 or so) and clean it up there before pressing the new seals in.

Thanks guys, we see alot of mud here. Im doing a 35 spline swap and seen these while looking for seals. Ill just do the seals and buy these too i guess. I plan on cleaning and painting it all when doing it so i guess they should work good.
