Hub wouldn't engage...noticed the stub was high in the spindle, caused the sliding gear in the locking hub to bind, wouldn't go down...turn it shafts, stays up, doesn't wobble, so it's not a bent shaft. Swapped spindles, no diff. Took the little sheetmetal ring off the stubshaft to make sure it's not binding, no diff. Without the spindle, I can move the inner shaft up and down, with it in, it keeps the UJ end of the stub down, which makes the splined end go up. I took apart the kingpins, they look good, up to the top stub with the 7/8" female hex. It laughed at a 1" impact to I quit. With the kingpins disassembled/loose as they are, if I let the knuckle down, the shaft lines up in the spindle pretty much, so maybe that lower bearing is worn out which would make the knuckle ride high on the C...but it looks good from what I can see. I haven't jumped the truck, (recently) nothing seems bent.

help.

If you put new spring in it would it line up then. You can also use washers as spacers on top of the spring to tighten them up
