I have a line on a D60 and a D70 both passenger drop. I know D60's are desired but i havent heard too much about passenger drop D70's? After googling i found that D70's come in chevy 4500/5500 and some other various apps. Which one would be better on and off road? The guy told me that the D70 uses the same parts as the D60 but its noticeably thicker. I'm assuming gear selection could be a problem with the D70. The D60 is a drw but thats fine as i have a drw 14ff, im unsure on the D70. Thoughts, advice? Both are the same price and its for the 'burb.

the DRW 60 has dually hubs on it and will stick out another 6 inches......your limited to gear selections for the 70 but should be able to find a matching set for the 14 bolt......i would take the dana 70 inner and put the dana 60 outters on it with the open knuckles, unless the dana 70 is out of a F450 or a 4500 chevy (really wide for your application) they will have a large bolt pattern and not really be worth putting in the truck, i would go with the 60....
