Looking at buying myself a Dana 60. Right now I have a guy offering me one with new detroit locker, new 4:56 gears, new kingpins, and crossover steering. Overall, the axle is in good condition. What would be a low to high price for this setup?

$1500 would be a steal, if the parts are definitely new. A junkyard crusty D60 can get $800-1000 pretty easily. New gears/detroit/kingpins/x-over is worth at least another $1k.

Yep, 60 cost me $900 out of a yard, and I am gutting the thing and rebuilding everything, regearing and installing a ARB, what is he asking? Most likely you would be money ahead on this deal.

The guy is asking 2k. He is going to include the knuckle on the passenger side for crossover, and the front tierod. So, all I would need is the tierod going from the box to the passenger knuckle. Is that a fair price?

make sure it has ubolt plates for the passenger side otherwise 2K is a good price. Is it a chevy or dodge?

Why?

Probably means a new kingpin cap for the crossover, or maybe an aftermarket knuckle...

just making sure he dosen't get screwed over. the way he made it sounds as the guy was giving him a knuckle needed for crossover like an 10bolt or D44.
