I just bought a Dana 60 front for my project blazer and when I got the wheels and tires off noticed that it has a huge extended hub. Are all Dana 60s this wide? The studs are a good 8 inches out from the rotor. Is there anyway to narrow this? Can I just take off that extender? As is my front track will be way too wide to fit in tight spaces. Any info is appreciated. Thanks :)

I will get some pics tonight. What can I do if I have a dually front? Can it be converted?

you can now run H1 rims with that crazy backspacing they have, I'd kill for one of those axles!

I still havn't bought rims yet. Would I just get the stock H1 rims or what do I look for? Also, are you seriouse about the killing for this axle.... I have a crazy a$$ X-wife.... ;)

Just thought of this... Can I take the SRW hub off a rear Dana 70 and just put the manual locking part on it? I have an extra D70 rear in my garage that has the SRW hub on it.

No you can't use the Dana 70 rear hubs, but if you are seriously considering running the H1 wheels then you'll need a Dana 70 rear, but I believe with DRW hubs..I am not sure though.

If you want to convert to SRW hubs up front there are plenty of people looking for the DRW hubs I am sure you could work out a trade.
