Going to be buying http://wichita.craigslist.org/rvs/722774547.html. Already got it lined up with guy, talked to him, he said 14 bolt is an open carrier and dana 60 had a locker. I asked him her sure it wasn the rear with a gov lock, he said yes, and that the front had a gov lock. since when do d60's have gov locks? Am I just dumb? Or is there a chance I'm going to get up there and there be no beloved d60? TIA.

Never heard of a Gov-lock for a D60...don't think they even make them as it's a locker built for GM only as far as i know. most common in 10 bolts and 14 bolt SF and FF.

The fact that it's on A 3/4 ton frame makes me think it might be a 10 bolt front with Gov Lock...but you never know. Look for king pins when you go see it.

There are no D60 gov-loks, they were only available in 10, 12 and 14 bolts.

It could be a trac-lok or a power-lok, both were available in D60's.

My honest guess is that this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, as Rene suggested. Get some pictures of the front end.
