I'm sure alot of this is covered in searching..
Humor me... ;)

I'm looking for a dana 60 for my 78.
Found one locally out of a 82 chev 1 ton

What do i need to make sure to grab if i buy it?

- Spring plates and ubolts...
- ?
- ?

What will i ned to buy to bolt this in as stock for now, till crossover can be done?
- Dont I need a different brake line?

I have a dana 44 right now... Is my drive line gonna fit?
What about teh 14 bolt in the back... do i need a different ujoint?

As my memory serves me the stock 44/12 bolt use a smaller ujoin off the drive shaft correct?

I'm gonna be searchin but figured i'd start a thread...

grab the drag link too
ubolts are not multiple use... please replace with new ones prior to heavy wheeling or ANY street use.

front brake lines should be replaced, banjo bolt is different D44/D60 (D44 is 3/8", D60 is 10mm... one "can" be converted to the other by drilling out, but i forget which way works)

front driveshaft may or maynot fit... depends on lift, D60 is longer than a D44, so a shorter driveline is needed, but you can compensate by lifting higher/pushing axle forward. Ujoint on front shaft will be fine.

Rear driveshaft may or maynot fit... you are probably good though. Yes, you need a conversion ujoint. search on that and you will find the exact part number to get. Also, rear ebrake connections may be different... you can convert as needed... search my name and ebrake and i know something with more specific info will come up, easiest thing is to change backing plates to match the truck

are you getting the 14 bolt from a 1-ton also? if so you'll need to relocate the spring perches on the axle.
