Are you talking about the ones just outboard of the gear carrier? Those look like they'd seal great.

I've heard of people using them before. I'd certainly be interested! Less crap in the tubes can't be a bad thing.

They go in at the outer C BTW, right where the u-joint is in the knuckle.

I've got them in my D60 front and I really like them. Seems like a much better design for longevity and they won't groove your axle shaft. They do NOT fit unmodified however in my experience - I had to turn down the rubber cone and supporting flange that point toward the outside of the axle as it was too big to fit inside the axle tube.

I also had trouble getting them to install squarely at first with motor oil as a lubricant (they have rubber sealing ridges). I wrecked a pair in the process. I switched to white lithium grease and they went in with relative ease. I used a long piece of allthread, some nuts, and some large fender washers as an install tool - post with pics: http://coloradok5.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2653157&postcount=8

Used them in my GM D60 housing ,much better seal than the OE style & had no problems with the install , other than you have to make sure the insides of the axle tubes are cleaned out really good.
