I'm looking at installing my new extended front brake lines from ORD while I have the braking system open. I still have the stock 10-bolt in the truck but plan on getting a Dana 60 once I can find one.

Will I be able to reuse the calipers on the 10-bolt for the Dana 60?

No, not with the stock brackets. Someone makes brackets to use the smaller calipers on a 60 (purpose is to clear 15" wheels) but I can't remember who. Seems like I saw them on Ebay.

The calipers are completely different......but since you mention new extended brake lines, those will interchange between the two different calipers.

I would use the stock 60 calipers over the 10b calipers and modified brackets.

Why go 1 ton diff and lose the braking capacity of it?

It takes some grinding to fit 15'' wheels but not a huge deal.

10B caliper on the left, D60 on the right.

I'm running 1/2 ton calipers on my D60, using the brackets from ebay. Never had a problem and that means I use the same calipers, pads and rotors front and rear.

Beg to differ here. Friend cracked his caliper in half driving on the street from the grinding.
