Nothing on that truck I need, no engine, no tranny, no t-case, just a rusty body, a cracked frame, and 3/4 ton axles

I would pay him $200 for the axles if the rear is at least a full floater, a d60 would be good, but a D70 would be great, and the front D44 is not bad,
I have paid sometimes as much as $200 for either one .

Walk away and forget about this truck. Nothing worth salvaging. Just hold out for that better deal which will fall onto your lap sooner or later.
