whats the largest tire you on a dana 60 w/ 35spline inners and 30 spline outers with locker

Depends on what you plan to do with it? I have 44" swampers on my 60. took a long time but i broke one.Converted to 35 spline outers.I only mud though, Talk to members that Crawl and get their input........

When I asked a while back, general consensus was 42s after going to 35 spline outers.

Hi-steer is also a BIG factor in terms of knuckle strength. I'm running 42s on my 60... and I just snapped a 30 spline stub. I know folks with 39.5's on their 60... and they've popped 30 spline stubs. I had 36's on there for an entire season and never had a problem!

ive seen 30 spline outers popped with 44s, a 496 stroker, and a front end hopping during a truck tug of war

the guy went to 35 spline outers and hasnt had anymore trouble

all depends on how you treat it

I just popped a 30 spline outer on 42's and a 140,000mi 350/465/205. I wasn't even romping on it... the darn thing just went "pop!" Nothing violent - just a little climb over a boulder on a low 5 course. Just POP. Blew my mind.

Anyways, I've bought up a set of 4340 35 spline stubs. I'm sure hoping that I don't have to worry next. My next worry is my knuckles...
