Dana 60\'s Gear\'s

I have the chance to buy a 14-bolt and a Dana 60 for a grand. He says that it has a 4.08 ratio. I wasn't aware that they put 4.08 in Dana 60's. He says that they are GM, they where just going to be put under a Land Cruiser. Is he just reading the gears wrong or could it be a 4.08??

Hmmm, well the DanaSpicer R&P I bought for my D60 was 4.11 and my D44 has 4.09.
I would look at the differnt R&P makers and see if any of them sell that ratio. If not then the guy is puffin smoke......

It now appears that it is a Dana 44. It is 200 miles away so it is not possilbe for me to check out. He had a freind look at it agian and saw a 44 stamped on it. Does that mean it's a Dana 44? Is it possible that the 14-bolt could have the 4.08 ratio? Or no?
