Here ya go guys! Dana 70 dually disc conversion. We just finished up the fitting on these and of course will be test fitting the first 10 or so sets and then incrementally after that.

On the final design it cleared a 16" steel dually wheel with just a quick buffing on the caliper.

I timed it and it took me 20 secs. to grind the caliper enough to eliminate any rubbing. With the components we are using its just that snug.

This is a bent bracket set up. No flange spacers. Currently seeking replacement hardware for your flange although the factory stuff is long enough and will work. I would like to offer it though for those that have stuck rusted stuff.

Also included in the kit is a complete parts number list for what you will need to complete the installation. It doesn't use the standard 73-87 3/4 ton rotor but it does use the same caliper, like our other kits. The rotor number will be in the kit as well as a flex line that we have been using. This is an off the shelf rotor.

Since we are still searching the hardware we don't as of yet have a fixed price but expect it will be in the $70 - $80 range provided the specialty hardware isn't ridiculous.

Pictures, well, we are not posting any pictures for now. Yep, we're gona stay just a bit vague on these for a while.

Feel free to ask your questions I will answer what I can without given away too much.

That was a good pic! Clear, close up, nice lighting and lots of pretty pixels. What more could ya ask for.:haha:

will these by any chance also work on a 14 bolt dually axle? wide version, not c&c, if that makes a difference. gonna be running one of these with srw hubs, and stock h1's...and have yet to find a disc conversion kit for it. I don't know all the differences between the 14 bolt and dana 70 drw axles, just wondering if it might work on both?

Kert,
Gotta say...If being "THE MAN" was a crime, you'd be guilty as charged! I'll be buying a set in a few months when I get back from my deployment.

I would have to say no. I don't have the 14wide dually in the shop and they are extremely rare around here. Everything is a 70 that I have seen. We could do some comparison measuring via telephone?? Otherwise I'm always looking for one. Thought I had one not too long ago but it was a C&C.

Sweet bud! Let me know when your ready and keep your head down over there! Thanks for going, big time!

Just asking to verify this will work on the D70 HD with dually or H1 wheels?
Thanks,
Elliott

D70hd dually axle with dually wheels. 16" steel wheels, the caliper may need just a touch up with a flapper wheel on the outside edge.

Ok, thanks!
When you mentioned in the first post "The rotor number will be in the kit" that threw me off 'cause you'd said before the rotors are custom centered for the larger hub diameter and that made me wonder...
Good deal, I just picked up some caddy calipers so I'll be around to buy you brackets when I dig up some more money;)

This is a bolt on kit, correct? My tow rig needs a brake job soon, so I guess now is the time to convert to 4-wheel discs

This is a bolt on kit. Like most other disc conversions you'd get your rotors, calipers and soft lines from whatever local source you normally use. We take care of the rest including a parts # list for those other pieces.

it's not up on the website yet is it?

Nope not yet. Only cause I can't find the stupid bolts. Gona investigate another option. Sucks, I'd rather just buy the bolts as opposing to milling one side of a grade 8 off so it will seat fully.

You want one? I'm almost certain I've seen a few around here. Price range? I know I've seen one with four good tires on Craigslist for $200, but I should be able to get one significantly cheaper.

Also, I've seen it in person and to all those thinking about ordering, you DEFINITELY won't be disappointed. It almost made me want to buy a dually 70 just so I could run that blingin brake setup. :D
