1/2 ton status
A while back i picked up a unknown 1-ton axle site unseen for cheap. Turns out it is a Dana 70"super" with the disk brakes and 35 spline shafts. This seems to be a bit of a under supported axle with no locker options available.
I have seen and heard of several people installing Detroit lockers. Seems like i have heard they use one from a D70HD with thick cut gears. Im looking to see if anyone has some solid info on this. I would like to swap this beast in but want to figure this out first.
Four Wheeler Mag even did a write-up on this axle but they didn't give any detail on the locker they used. And like I said, I cant find one specifically for this model. Link
