who makes a tranfercase for this beast:rolleyes:

That guy is smoking crack. It would require his "special" t-case in order to use that centered pumpkin.

I don't see what so bad about it.

I'd just relocate the perches and install it in the rear instead.

:haha: I used to talk to the guy who owns that back in the day. He owns the shop custom differentials. A member here bought the 72 it was originally in minus the axles.

I like the rotatable knuckles idea. Ive never seen that before. But the centered diff is sooo retarded.

So whats the guy like?

He was pretty cool, owned a hand full of k series trucks. He pretty much did mud only, and I think all of them were on 44's running mild 454's. Last I heard he had a crew cab on rock wells, and he wanted to make it a 6 door.

I also don't see what's wrong with this, that's actually a pretty good price, considering all the work involved. Dynatrac is selling front dana 80s and I will bet they cost a lot more than $6,000.

That guy's company, custom differentials, is the same company that originally owned the big red chevy that was in this year's top truck challenge. And that t-case he is talking about is nothing more than a clocked down, divorced np-205

I saw that 72 w/ the dual D80's at an Indy Jamboree a few years back, definitely interesting to say the least. I watched him try the rock pile and it broke a front axle immediately (this was before alloy axles really got popular).

Like stated, no big deal to fit a front end just use a clocked / divorced case or even a ProFab case like a monster truck. Rear steer would be the poo though. :pimp:

i wonder if this would hold up to 54'' boggers ,in hardcore mud. i want to run a set of 54's, but worried about axel breakage. its strictly mud around here and rockwells seem to add to much weight and cause you to sink and bury up!
