Hey guys, i have searched on how to decode my rear dana 60 so i could find out what it came out of/year it is. Im trying to find new brake shoes for it, no luck yet at the stores. I wire wheeled the axle housing and i only came up with 12... 10....9B1 on the right axle tubing. I was told it was a dodge but i really have no clue, i bought it 2nd hand from someone, thats all the info i got. Any sites out there to decode this stuff?

Well i wire wheeled even more and i came up with this.. on the right side of the axle tubing were these numbers. im guessing now its a 1970??

...................1 6 70 A7

12 10 9B1 .....603107 7

It came from the factory with a small metal tag between 2 of the inspection cover bolts. Should be on the left side of the cover. It got painted, along with the rest of the axle housing, so they can be hard to spot. If the tag ios still there, it will have all the info you need.
