Hello is there any other places I can purchase Dana 60 parts ? I need the shields sway bar assembly.

I guess there the backing plates dust covers I believe. Behind rotors. Mine are bent and rusted out. I could also use Dana 60 spring plates and sway bar assembly. I have been away from the site due to medical ( stroke). But have not forgotten my 89 blazer build to larger axle.

For the dust shields and sway bar parts I'd go to the for sale /wanted forums, lots of folks taking these items off.

For the u-bolt plates look in the vendor section. The are a few vendors that sell these, my preference would be diy4x.

If you don't mind, what part of the country are you in? You sound like a guy I knew from the Gulfport Ms area.

I'm from New Jersey. I just recently signed back up. I have a nice 89 K5 Silverado a had been working on. I purchased Dana 60 and 14ff years back for a swap until medical issues. I'm going to give it one more try.

Ok cool. Crazy similar story though, the guy I knew down here on the Gulf Coast was named Joe, had an 89 K5 that he sold but was searching for another to build, he moved north somewhere (for his wife's career) and he'd had a stroke that slowed him down some but he too was wanting to build another.

Glad to see you're able to get back on it, hope it goes together easily. Of course, once you start the axle swap, pics are required. :thumb:

Check it out. I had installed Meyer plow couple years ago. Personal use only.
