Yeah, I keep searching. Here's the info I have currently. I'm sure someone else who wants to use the original "quad" upper mount is looking for the same info too.

As the Suburban sits, I've got 22 inches eye to eye. With the tall bumpstops from ORD, I'm guessing there's about 5 inches of uptravel, allowing for give in the bumpstop.

I'm currently looking at Bilstein 5150's. But, what I've found for measurements (in valving that will work for singles) is this:

11.9 inch travel shock, 17.78" compressed, and 29.7" extended. That would allow for about 4 1/4" uptravel, and 7" downtravel. Probably different, since the shock is still at an angle, but I can't really measure. No place to flex it out close to home.

10" travel shock, 15.89" compressed, and 25.91" extended. That would allow for about 6" uptravel, and 3.9" downtravel.

So. Close, but not really eh? I believe that to do the Ford shock tower mod, I'd have to remove the upper quad mount.

It's riding OK right now with the 5100's in the stock lower location, but I want it that 1/10 better ;)

If I find more info I'll post for sure. But that's where I sit right now, pounding my head.

The Upper Quad mount is just to the left of the stock mount I'm currently using. I should have had my tape measure out when changing the front springs, eh? Oh well, hindsight blah blah blah.

The stock bumpstop is in the photo; I haven't snapped any pics of the 4 1/2" ORD bumpstop yet, but it's at least twice as long, and much wider. Also, I'm using their swaybar disconnects mostly for ease of movement, not so much to disconnect it. I haven't tried driving without it, or found it necessary to disconnect yet (probably because the Sub is so long).

Extended brakelines are on the list too.

Heh. I found something that will work.

Bilstein 7100 part AK7112SB: 12" travel short body.
28.06" extended, 16.03" compressed.

Allows for 6" of extension, and 5.97" of compression.

Sounds pretty good I guess.

You will typically want more droop than stuff so I would consider about 30% for compression and 70% for droop.
