Dash and Gauges

I have removed my dash completely,I am building a new frame out of 1/2" square tube and will have a plate for the top and front face.

My question is what gauges do I need (few as possible) I am planning on Speedo, Oil, Water and voltage. Is there any other gauges I have to have?

Also what make gauges are preferred? Autometer? Summit? Electric Mechanical etc........... I am not getting anything fancy that does nothing for me. Black and white no frills.

I'd get a Tach before i got a speedo. If you are set on a speedo, get a tach for sure too. Especially if you are building your dash, make a good spot. Also, is there reason you don't have a fuel gauge listed?

Just seeing if you were paying attention! LOL Um wasn't worried about gas level till now. Okay so list stands at Tach Speedo Gas Water Oil and Volt.


Anyone using Dolphin Gauges? Wow $170 for all six, should this go under the "you get what you pay for"?

im more worried about a tach then the damn volts... i run gas speedo tach oil and coolant and a volt meter since i got a deal on that to but never pay attention to it
