Im sure many others are like mine. But all the holes and center section of the dash pad is busted from the speakers. Other than replacing the entire dash pad, what has anyone else done.

Ive been checking online to maybe get some 3.5-4" speaker covers to put over top center of the hole in the dash for the speakers.

Remove dash , clean , fill any cracks , remove any trim , and spray adhesive on it . Them wrap it with some fabric , reapply trim .

Thats my plan for restoring my K5 .

I'm gonna try putting a layer of fiberglass mat over the whole dash and I was considering the same thing. They don't have to match up perfectly with the speakers below but I was probably just going to put some cheap grilles over the holes. it would be easy for the right and left, but I'm not sure what to do for the center as I was going to mount the CB speaker in or around that location.

if me no, just imagine the most half assed holes and dusty 3 inch speakers loosely placed in the holes. stereo isnt really a priority right now...:o
