Dash fitment?

Will the dash from my 79 be a direct swap into the 86 cab thats going onto the 79?? im thinking about snatching it out and painting it if it will swap in, the gauges dont matter as im going to create a custom gauge panel for it, but is the dash dimensionally the same?

nevermind... i got it all stripped and the column dropped and realized the dash frame is welded to the cab body...
