Going out of town this tonight and my dash lights quit woking. It used to be dim, but I would mess with the headlight switch and it would come back on. Now it is dead. I checked everything I could think of. The only lights working are the blinkers and high beams. I ruled out the chance of a light bulb because all the gauges are off. What are the chances the headlight switch could be bad?

I'd say very good. If you fiddled with the headlight switch to get it working then it sounds like the pot on that switch is shot.

Where is the quickest place to pick one of these up besides the dealer, are they carried at Autozone, or something similar? Do you know how much they run and about how hard the install is?

I just bought a new GM switch from Classic Industries. Got the GM part number. Its alot cheaper at GM Parts Direct like only $16. Was $29 at Classic
