Dash Options...

I'm thinking ahead into the future, like after Mr. K5 is properly running and I get a new (sound) system installed... What are some options for the dash? I'm thinking mainly the speedo and the fuel gauge, but the other side ones would be nice too... I'm thinking like a back-lit or digital display.. the lights are okay, but just not cool... plus I think a couple of mine are burned out

Anyone with some info or whatever, gimmie a reply!

my dash is dead... it has a cover that I hate on it right now, but not for long... a friend of mine works with sheet metal so... he is gonna build me a dash from scrach... I gonna put all autometer gauges in it... Oil pressure, air/fuel, coolent temp, rpm, speed, tran temp, battery and leave one or two holes open for when I throw my supercharged 383 stoker in...
one thing that matters, if you get new gauges, buy brand name like autometer... you wont have to worry about them breaking...

yea, but considering it is really easy to splice some normal lights it is not that big of a deal to fabricate you own in. you hook into the lights just like you do the sender for the gauges etc...

you got your brights, check engine oil light, blinkers, seat belt light, and 4x4 indicator for the k5's that got it... I've fabricated in lights to accomodate for all those I care about (brake, check engine, blinkers, and high beams...)

I'm going for the Dakota Digital setup in my Blazer, they look slick and will go great with my "blackout" theme. I'm trying to as much as possible, inside and out, in black. When I'm done, I'll call it "stealth" or something.

Of course, I'll be found in it like a crispy bee because the black interior and exterior cooked me like a potato in the hot sun...especially as I yanked my AC

Nah, pulled my A/C, and then decided to go all black. I still have the equipment, so I can throw it back in and have it recharged, or maybe install one of those produce misters...
