Looking to replace the entire dash pad in my 87 K5 but not sure where to buy one from cause seems hear so many different stories on quality. This is far from show truck but would like nice Grey dash pad not a overlay!!!!! So who do you recomm I buy from? Thanks in advance Brandon

I usually wait for a clean used one to turn up in the $100 to 150 range on the classifieds, than dye as needed... but some others have bought the aftermarket ones with good success... iirc, they are in the $300 range.... maybe one of them will see this bump and comment.... no NOS, but pretty nice I think..

Don't mind dyeing one but sooner I find a nice one the better off. I just don't wanted a used one I will have to fix cracks etc. New is also find if fit's decent and then it's new hopefully would not have some problems a used one might have there.

yeah, I just got a mint red used one for Mutt that I dyed black and it looks awesome.. not a crack in it.. but they are still 25+ yr old parts and may be a bit more brittle and not far off from cracking...

like I said, I think the nicer, pricier aftermarket repops are supposed to be pretty damn nice.. (they should be for $300 or so), fit well, and obviously fresher material, but when not installed, side by side, you can see some differences from an NOS, but not noticable when installed iirc..

I do know a fair amount of guys in here have tried them.. iirc, Teck may have a nice gray one in his killer red K5...

I got a new nos one for mine from classic parts back when I did mine. I see them on eBay from time to time. I got it for $400.00 then not sure what they are going for now if you find one.
