Anyone ever replace the entire dash panel on a first gen. blazer? I'm replacing mine due to it being cut out for a radio, and I'm swaping to an A/C dash. I'm looking for any information on this before I start tearing it apart.:hack:

There are bolts on both sides to remove, and most people I know have cut the "slotted area" under the dash pad and grafted the new dash into that spot. Be advised that the dash won't simply "unbolt" so you will have to do some cutting no matter how you decide to remove it.

:usaflag:

That sounds like a good idea, I'll have to look into cutting at the slots for the dash pad. That would keep me from dealing with the spot welds at the windshield channel. Thanks for the info. :thumb:

Anyone have any pics of this being done?

Even so, there's some real PITA spot welds on both sides.

Be careful how you remove them and know what part of the dash you want to keepp intact, it all matters when the BFH comes into play.

It's real easy to replace the radio area and cut the a/c vent holes. Unless the dash is in real bad shape it's probably going to be easier to fix/modify the existing dash then fight replacing the whole thing.

Definitely.

Find a donor dash and be done with it.
