Dash panels

Did the 1970 K5 have panels under the dashboard or was the area always open? I don't see any replacement panels for under the dash, only the dash panel itself. Just wondering if that is how it is has always looked. Thanks.

Dont know about ALL years, but Ive had the dash apart in both my '86 and my '90. Neither had anything but the dash cover plastic, and the metal "substructure" (dont know what its actually called).

@KCk51974 if you’re looking for panels to close off the underside so you don’t see the hvac box etc I don’t believe the first gems or square bodies.
