True enough. I figure the speakers in it now are in very poor shape based on the life they have lived, new ones of those alone may solve the problem entirely. But will keep all info in mind. Thanks!![]()
I put Infinity 3.5's in the dash. Speakers fit, and the magnets were huge. I had to remove the brace through the dash pad grill on the passenger side, and the high tweeter still pokes up a little, but not bad.
They scream. Just on deck power too, they are the reference series, so no real need for an amp. They even come wiht bass blockers(caps). I'm sure whatever midbass they could put out would be helped by some speaker baffles, but getting them in by themselves and not shorting to the dash already required me wrap the whole magnet/wire terminal assembly with electrical tape. Little stupid wires going to the tweeters were swinging around and hitting the dash metal.
Overall, the burb sounds good right now, and im just waiting for time to finsih putting the 6.5's in the doors.
