Dash Wish

I’ve got the windshield out of my 76 and doing a frame up restro. I have a dash out of a 72 and I really like the way it looks. I noticed the steering column is narrow in the 72 but I like the 72 look so much I want to find a way to make it work.

Anyone seen a 72 dash mounted into a 76 with some mods? Or am I crazy for even thinking this is feasible to get the old look?

Once upon a time, I saw pics of a flat 1st gen dash in a 73+ cab but don’t know where it was now. I thought it looked really good, flat like a fab’d race car dash but more character than sheet metal. I think the panel had to be widened in the middle.
