Dating Dana.

Can someone help me date my front 3/4 ton Dana axle? I don't know where it came from, nor does the previous owner.

I tried to reference the BOM to the the Dana website. No results yielded. I also referenced it to a webpage with a very large list of BOM numbers (though I can't remember the name of the page right now). Again, nothing found.

It is an open knuckle axle, pretty sure it has the original 4.55 R&P. BOM is 603375.


Would I be correct if I said it was a '79 axle, based on the ring gear alone?

The trick is to buy flowers. Dana can't say no to a date when you have flowers.....

Build date is 5/26/72.

Probably has external hubs too...unless someone swapped stuff already.
