Daughters 01 24 valve Dodge

Milking hungover sucks balls! We have a double 8 herringbone parlour and milk 150 cows twice a day. We take turns milking with Kris`s Brothers family. We will milk mornings for one week then get the weekend off. Next week we work evenings and the weekend.

How long is a turn? 12-15 mins? So how long is normal milking time?

Longer in the morning or night? Or is milking a strict 12 hour schedule?

5am and 4pm Longer in the morning for sure. About 10 minutes a shift. Takes us about 2 hours to milk. And all the other jobs, feeding, breeding, cleaning. ext is all after that.

Your averaging 145lbs of milk per cow.

That's a good herd. Nice

Divide that by two Brian. 72.69 lbs per day.

I was just going by what the milk truck picks up every other day 9600 Liters. So 4800 per day.
Damn I thought that was pretty high. But I haven't been around milk production in such a long time, who am I to judge

Got the headlight fixed with one that came in the glovebox when we bought the truck. :D
I think I got the leak fixed, loose hose on the circulating block heater. And it had a missing exhaust manifold bolt. Metric too...found one that works in my bolt bins. Albeit it’s to long, so more spacers made it work till I get the proper bolt for it.

I wanted to see if the brake controller and lights worked so I hooked it up to our trailer and brought the old potato digger back to the Hutterite’s. We borrow it every fall for our potato harvest.

I got running lights and right turn signal, no power for the brakes, no left turn. I didn’t check brake lights cause I was by my self and didn’t have a stick to jamb the peddle with. And I forgot to test the hazard lights. My mechanic buddy has a fancy trailer light tester, I’ll borrow that from him when some day when I’m thinking about it.

Typical crappy Dodge steering has gotten a bunch better. When we bought the truck it came with a brand new track bar in the box. The PO said the one that was on it was good so he never bothered changing it. It had a ton of play in the ball joint end. Swapped it out yesterday with the new one. I need to go out and center the steering wheel now.

Kate’s gotta be lovin’ the progress you’re making
Glad to see that exhaust port buttoned up!

Yeah she likes her truck!
Got the wheel straight now too. Picked up some factory tow hooks a brackets for it last weekend.
I can’t believe they don’t all have them? Hard to find too! Got lucky and found these for 70.00. Had to drive two hours to get them though.
