She said she wanted to go Pheasant hunting with me.. I made her take a hunter saftey coarse and she passed. Then I had to buy her a left handed shotgun.. I bought her a remington 870 pump 12 gauge. left handed version.. We picked it up yesterday after the 10 day waiting period. She got one clay pigion.. Not to bad for never shooting anything over a 22..Has you can tell.. I am a proud dad right now.. She is only 14..
Way to go. When I have kids a shotgun is one of the first things they will get. If you ever watch the hunting shows, "take your children fishing and hunting," I support that 100%. As they always say the youth of today is whats going to determine our rights for tomorrow, in the generation I grew up with, I am downright suprised how many people never hunt, have never owned a gun, and literally spend all their time on their ass playing video games, and not much changes over the years. Its downright scary. I also am a firm believer that owning and shooting a gun gives you the most respect for them, Maybe if half these kids in the world today knew the power of a gun before they ever got up and started shooting people the first time they handled a real gun they might think otherwise.
