DD Quest (part 3)

Okay, I'm looking to replace my DD (2002 Dodge Ram 1500) which is rapidly wearing me out (No heat/ 30 degrees this morning). I've taken a lot of advice from the brotherhood and searched the web days on end.

Goals:
1)Get a low cost DD (with little to no car note)
2)Something decent i can use (I am not a small guy)


I was looking at Toyota Landcrusiers but I can't find one cheap. Tonight I saw

What is the pros and cons? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would never get something that old from a dealer.I work at a used car/truck dealer and those things sell at auction for around 2k all the time.

I'm kinda limited $$ wise. So its trade in or trade only, so I have to go to a dealer.

just a idea.

does the temp gauge work ?

does it get to temp ?

if both yes then pull the heater core hoses and take garden hose and back fluch the heater core . newer rides thay sit up in the dash and also drop down. so all the junk drops in them and plug up bad.

i cant count howmany times i have back flushed a heater core and got tons of JUNK out of them and bam now has heat.

I'll have to try that first. The gauge reads up to the mid-range.

more than likly plouged core. its that time of year for them and batterys.

oh ya and back flush it both ways many times till solid flow and clear water. i have had to do this before back and forth 8-9 times.
