I was wondering. i am looking at a blazer with a low center of gravity. minimum of 37" tires. without dovetailing to keep the top. ive seen a beat up rig that flexes like hell not bobed, leaves, and he had the wheel wells cut. fist is the fender wells stop the travel that much? Second what would anyone suggest. its gonna de my dd but i want it to be a badass extremely capable rig. still be able to ride with passengers. any suggestions? ive been told it inpossible but i know its not. i had an 87 k5 with a six inch and 37" MTR's the brake lines would hold back the travel.

If your not afraid of cutting then it is deffinately possible. Push the front end forward. Use some BDS, alcan, or flexible leaf pack of your choice and lock the rear and you should be able to push your DD into old beer can condition very quickly. If you need something this built to suit your kind of wheeling it will probably spend more time broke than as a reliable DD. In answer to your question though, I think it can be done much easier than you think

Sure you can do it.
Here is my fender cuting...36" HMMWV tires in that pic. 39.5" IROKS in the next pic.

ummm... no pics?

tRustyk5 runs the alcans in his rig, says they're too soft for a dd. maybe he'll chime in and tell me different tho.

bowtieboy.....love the hook on the front man. i've got the same one swingin in my garage....im gonna mount mine up once i get a winch. nice rig by the way man

i like the ideas of 52" front and 63" rears. but if i can do a 3-4" lift with like 40"-44" that would be sweet. but i dont know the spring rate s**t so. i was searching stuff on narrowing front and rear and someone had a green k5 with i wanna say 44" i wouldnt mind that size if i could run 44". thanks for the feedback and hope to see all soon

BASING110 has the idea down for what im looking for. its a 73 on 44" in the complete truck classifieds. he has a10" lift up front and a 12" in the rear with 44". is it possible to run maybe a 4-6 lift with 44" keeping the inner wheel wells

my k30 will be on 40mt/s within a month, and i drive almost 20,000miles a year

I daily drive my K5. Im running about 6 inches of lift and 38's. I have the cut out flares and I can shove my tires all the way to the top of the fenders with no problem. My flex is limited but my to small shocks. Im going to have some alcans made this summer, lower it another inch and the move the axle and inch forward.

Currently got 6" and 38" TSL's. Cut the front and barely anything in the back. I have a very flexy setup and my shocks and rear shackle angle are holding it back the most. My rear tires get tucked into the tubs pretty deep. If i ever get it running again, ill upgrade to 42's and lots more cutting. Mine is driven to wheeling spots and driven as much as possible when it actually runs.

This is my good buddies blazer, hes Koldsimer here on CK5. 77 Blazer, around 8" of lift, lots of cutting, and 42 IROKs. BDS stock length front springs. He got it up to 56" of flex when he backed into the building at the top of the loading ramp. He also drives this to wheeling spots and around town.

52" and a zero rate and 56"s a zero rate and a diy4x shackle flip. and a 1" body lift. 38.5 sx's. Really didn't trim the rear and have no contact.
