DD with Bias Ply's?

IROKs will wear fast (10,000-15,000 miles maybe) and they will have a flat spot in them for the first few miles each way.

But if you're willing to put up with that :deal:

i have run hummer tires which are bias ply with no problem for while i even made a few hundred mile trip on them fine

dont get those balloon iroks just because they are cheap, its a $hitty tire, especially for a dd... spend a lil extra cash and snatch up some TSLs or something IMO

If you drive your rig everyday I would go with a mud terrain over a iroc or even a tsl, BFG MT's will last at least twice as long as irocs

Ya thats what I was afraid of. My cousin had some Super Swamper's that lasted him about 8 months a while back.

For a DD its not the best option but Im curious and to why you think the IROK is a "$hitty tire". Mine are point and go and I love them.

we have goodyear mtr's on our DD work truck... i love em, they balanced out good and are quiet on the street but wheel good on the weekend

Ive run both the radial swampers. Had some 35" SSR's, they were great at first, then I hated them. They were loud, handled horribly, and wore out pretty fast (like 18k). I have tsl/radials in the 38" flavor now and have about 12k on em and they are still at 75% tread. I drive between 30 and 60 miles a day, they are quiet, ride pretty good, and handle better than the 35's. I thought about some bias Hawg's, just because I heard they lasted forever and a year, but read too much crap about a bias ply on a DD.

i know a few ppl that have had the bais 36s radial 37s and bais 39.5s they all sucked offroad compared to the various other trucks in our group with boggers, TSLs, and even TSL radials... and the bias iroks get even worse tread wear than a bogger, my friend with the 39.5s are scalloped horribly and he rotates them every 2k miles

i DDd on 36 TSLs for a year and a half and for over 6 months on unbalanced 38.5 boggers and i have no real complaints... they sure as hell where more enjoyable to drive on than those 38" radial XMLs :doah:

I have 39.5" Biased Iroks and drive my truck everywhere. Have 17,750 miles on them so far, and have never rotated them.

The front tires have no tread left at all so I need to replace one of them and use my new spare.

If you got fundage buy a radial KM2,or M/TR my choice in tire. My 39.5 Iroks are going strong and dont flat spot, I also live in the central valley (cali) maybe thats why they dont? Good cheap strong tire. My complaint is they wont stay on the rim at -10 psi. mt/rs would hang on at any psi. Only real loss of tread is due to my rear detroit.

Holy shiat I had no idea they would wear that fast:eek1:. Watchin this thread also since I need a set of tires for my H1 rims and they will be bias

They lasted almost two years.

I'll take a cell phone pic tomorrow and post one up here. It's almost funny that I am still driving on them.

I forgot aboot the time, the 17K is what got my attention. Considering how much I "drive" my truck those might last me 5 or 6 years:doah:
