my rocker panels were getting pretty rough. chips, dings, scrapes, light rust where the paint had been rubbed off. so i took care of it.

before:
you can see SOME of the rock chips, dings and surface rust. there was still some mud left from the day, but the 200 mile drive home got rid of most of it.

after:
rust, chips, scrapes sanded down and covered with plasti-dip (rattle-can version). i like it. only taken it offroad once since doing this, but it came back with zero new damage. :D

Looks 100% better. :waytogo: IMO would you even better if you took off the side moldings. I've been toying with doing that myself for some time now. Problem is I have more paint problems than just the rockers. :doah:

that looks way better. Im going to have my rockers LINE-Xed now. cool mod man. :waytogo:

thanks. i thought about pulling the moulding, and still may, but i wanted to see how it looked with it still on, first. i have some imperfections up high, too, but any truck that sees offroad use will. the rockers just take so much abuse with flying stones, splashing mud, scraping bushes, etc. and that factory plastic stuff in front of the wheelwells was getting ugly.

the stuff isn't uv resistant, supposedly, but i that doesn't really matter to me, because it's in my garage at least 5 days a week. i pretty much only drive it on the weekend.
