I was thinking how nice it would be to have a locker and posi for the front. Since I have a posi, maybe this could be welded up for my locker. Both take my 4.56s and up. But I would have to reshim each time I change them out. $50 to my door, no junkyard searching or tooling, and I have myself an extra diff for my long adventures.

Does anyone ever carry an extra diff of some kind when they go to places like Moab or Rubicon? Maybe not the D60 guys.

seems like kindofa hassle. im thinking a welded 44 up front isnt going to last too long with bigger tires.


As far as a spare, i have nver heard of a d44 carrier blowing up, the shafts, joints are the weak link adn will go first.
