700R4 that is. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif I am pretty sure that I toasted another trans on the way home from Hooters tonight. I got to see some quality T&A before it went though. It got me home too. I seem to have lost 3 & 4 gear.

This one is under warranty so they better honor it. It was in the shop last Thursday for an inspection and filter change and they said everything was ok so this one is on them. It was the 1yr checkup for my 2yr warranty.

Those 700R4 transmissions suck. I have seen too many people on this web site post that their 700R4 died. The 4L80E's are good, but the Turbo Hydro 400 is the king of reliable. The SM465 is bullet proof, but are a b!tch on the left leg in traffic.

Before you write it off check the govner gear 1st.
Poss. that $12.00 gear has stripped leaving only 1st gear.

I am not going to touch anything. I am going to let the tranny shop deal with it. It is under warranty so it is there problem.
