1923 Willys T-bucket with too much power and zero safety in mind
When I built mine I went with the short windshield also. It really changes the look from carriage to hotrod. Gas tank is mounted in bed also.
Got a few things done.
Removed old seat and old fuel tank. New 15 gallon aluminum tank is at fab shop getting 10 AN fitting welded to the bottom since my fuel pump is gravity fed. Pictures soon.
Seats are about ready to be bolted down. Must have changed the design the way I was going to mount them 10 times. Original adjustable brackets wouldn't work due to the frame location underneath the body. Luckily I had this 4 foot section of 3" aluminum angle. Coupled that with 2" aluminum angle, it made the perfect height at 4". Still need to trim the Kirkey seat bracket since it barely hits the door.
Also replaced the front skinny tires with these low profile 195/50/15 tires. This should help on corners and stopping.
Not sure what model of car this came out of? Any idea? Regardless its going to be swapped for a B&M Z-gate shifter and moved closer to the seat. Only problem is its WELDED to the floor. Time to get the grinder out...

Seats without the black covers look bitchin but I would hate to sit in those on a hot day with no top. HOT!

Well... that took longer than expected. Got this done in the last 2 weeks.

Cut the windshield down (thanks steve!)
Installed and plumbed the tank
And most importantly a CK5 koozie

Took this sketchy thing for a ride. Rear tires are at full pressure since I try to keep them fully inflated to avoid flat spots while sitting. OMG.... the truck coils in the back feels like there is zero suspension. I got some new softer coils, just need to get them installed. Also, no traction. Need to air the tires back down.

Ran across these a couple of days ago.
Was the demo car for "The Big T" by Monogram. A friend of my dad bought it at an auction and decided he did not want it. I bought it and dad and I rebuilt it. We tried to get Monogram to step up for a restore. They said no and we could not put "Big T" on it. So we went another direction.
It was on the tow truck in a parade. Sponsored by my parents tow company.
The picture of my dad driving down the road was staged. Engine did not have a cam in it.
More pics showing the cut windshield along with painting the frame black. I also did some lighter 125lb springs in the rear but it still rides like shit. It really needs some coilovers designed for the lighter weight. No front shock travel and incorrect shock dampening play a big role. Stiff front spring too

Take the medium length leaf out of the front. The biggest problem with softening the rear end up is, to make it sodt enough to ride nice, body roll begins to suck. An anti sway bar would help that also.

Yeah the lighter weight doesn't help but I shouldnt be bounced out of my seat when I hit a bump in the road. I slammed the accelerator pedal one time. LOL
If those chrome shocks are meant to dampen something in the 4000lb range then they are contributing to the harsh ride since I'm at 2000lb. I don't mind doing a sway bar front or rear. I think I might go with a new front suspension from speedway that puts the axle in front of the spring and drops the car another 2". The current front shocks have like 1" of travel before they bottom out. I need to weld new longer shock towers too.
I'd eventually like to do an IFS like Lunch Money has. Much more work but something I'm considering.

But you have to add 2 turbos to be as cool.
It's on the future mod list. Instead of 8-71 blower on BBC I was thinking twin snails.
Because it is so necessary on a 2000 pound car.
