Hey everybody in finally got my 86 ccdrw 4x4 on the road and have been trying to put a few miles on it, the truck seems to drive down the road nice but I hit a small pot hole in the road at about 30-35 and it started to death wobble like crazy!!!
I was hoping you guys might be able to help me figure out why? Spring bushings? Sway bar bushings? Kingpins? Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
As always thanks for the help it is much appreciated!

Probably kingpins.

For a quick fix on the upper kingpin take the steering off on drivers side and the cap off the passengers side. Put a washer in between the spring and the nylon bushing. Might take a couple washers but it should help or cure it till you get new stuff

upper king pin springs weak from years of use .

temp fix as said shim with fender washer .

also the nylon bushing gets worn out and wont sit/hold the tapered king pin correctly and will have slop . but with the design of the king pin system and use of spring you will prob not fell slop .

the bump and 30-35mph is the HUGE indicator on a dana 60 front of this problem .

trust us this should fix the prob for ya . :thumb:

Right on thanks guys do any of you happen to have a link or can point me in the right direction for a king pin re-build write up? Mabey an approximate cost to rebuild? Obviously I'll do the labor but not sure what all I need to do it. Thanks again
