Golf balls do not work. I worked in a commercial tire shop and saw all these remedies. Equal tire balance does work and is easier to put in your tires then golf balls. you don't need to break the bead for equal.

Golf balls worked good for me. I run 38/12.5/15 bias ply TSL's. Had them unbalanced then 8 golf balls a tire and a huge improvement. As for the death wobble I rebuilt my 60 king pins and fixed.

For those people who are thinking about replacing the lower bearing, you might want to go ahead and get new bottom plates. I had to beat the living daylights out of mine to get them off.

I put in new lower bearings and plates, new kingpins, bushings, springs, ORD high steer and cross over steering with new tre's, and what seems to be a pretty tight 2WD box. Basically rebuilt the whole axle. I have not been able to get it out on the road yet as I was waiting on brakelines, so I was just wondering if there is anything else I should check out before I get it out on the road?

My DW started after I mounted up my 35"x12.5 r17 Xterains the rims are procomp steels 17"x 9", first the DW would happen mostly when I stepped on the brakes at a certain speed "Warped Rotors" so I redid the brakes and no DW with brake application, then it would happen every so often if I hit a bump in the road the right way, then I put on an ES2000 sterring stabilzer and haven't had any since. However sometimes I get a little a shimmy that starts at a rought patch but stops when the road smoothes out. *NOTE the steering box has alot of slop and everything is worn, springs, bushings, rodends, king pins are all OEM as far as I know..

What is the diameter of the washer used??

I have 2 bags of Equal in each tire already.
