I am looking to replace the clutch in my 75 K20 pickup, whats a good one thats out there that isnt over about 4-500 bucks. i have the 4spd with granny low and 4:10 gears. this pickup will be a winter driver and my recovery vehicle for my K5. might try truck pulling once with it and see how it goes in stock class:dunno:

Can't really go wrong with a LUK(quality stock replacement). or upgrade to a LUK Pro Gold(their performance series). We get ours through our transmission parts suppliers , but they are good known quality and I'll bet a regular ole parts store could get one ordered for you.

Any idea what the disc diameter is on this 4spd? and input shaft dia and spline count. i was trying not to rip it out of there until i have the new clutch but all the auto sites give me a pile of options for my specs lol. just a 350 in her

A Luk clutch is good. I don't know about the clutch diameter could probably be 11" or 12" but the spline count should be 10 IIRC.

This outfit still any good?

They were hard to beat at one time.

I put one in a friend's Mustang behind a 351CobraJet after he had trashed 3 of the best ones he could find.

He never lost another clutch.
After that, he started popping U-joints or twisting drive shafts.....

I put a Zoom clutch into my 77 K20, have no complaints with it. I later swapped that motor/trans/t-case into my K5. Clutch still looked good when had it appart. The K20 was my DD and tow rig in the winter (either a 2 place or a 4 place snowmobile trailer)...was in there for about 3 years before I took it out. I'd buy another one without thinking twice.

What is the engine? I put a stock replacement from SACHS in my truck I have a 327 4speed 3.73's and 38's. I beat the hell out of it for 8 months and when I went in to replace the throwout bearing that went south the clutch disk itself was still fine with a lot of life.

I run mud and most of the time it was in some soupy stuff with no inspection cover on it. Never had any problems with it slipping at all.

I now have a SACHS Performance Power Clutch tho because when the throwout bearing went it chewed up the fingers on the pressure plate so it was under warranty. I paid the extra money to upgrade and I can tell a huge difference in feel, and it grabs a ton harder than stock.

For the stock on I think it was like 100 bucks and the power clutch was 160 or something like that.

I have a sbc350, sm465 and I used a new 12" clutch kit from Carquest. Lifetime warranty, ect.ect. No problems @ all. I've used them in other vehicles as well. Price is good function great.
