I was wondering what a decent backspacing would be for a 15in 8 lug steel rim going on a 3/4 ton D44 front and 14bff rear. i wouldnt mind if the tires came out a bit more since they 10.50 pizza cutter tsl boggers but i want to avoid too much grinding on the calipers too, unless i just use the stock half ton calipers on the swapped in d44.....ive only found 2.75 and 4" i believe. Dont want to put too terribly much stress on the bearings, this rig rarely sees highway or rough trails, its a mud runner

personally id go with 4'' back spacing but idk if youll have to grind you caliper, just seems to me like 2.75'' isnt enough bs to keep wheel bearings in it

A friend of mine has had some 15x10 with 2.75" BS on his truck for years, and hasnt had any issues that I know of. that thing got beat HARD too, with quite a bit of street time.

if its only for mud I wouldnt worry about the 2.75" BS eating bearings, Im not a big fan of how far they stick out though.

Ya it maybe sees 1000 miles a year, most of which is spinning haha! i am looking to get them out a bit further since they so narrrow, 35x10.50, and if it could help with or avoid caliper grinding it will work for me. these narrows all the way under the rig throw nice roosters but they dont come out they just fill up the underside!! should give it a better looking stance too
