Well... I am thinkin it's about time for a new paint job... got some rust to deal with(not bad at all)... the pic below was from around 1999-2000 so that paint is long been fading and getting much worse.
So what I was thinking was to repaint the truck all one color with a white top. I am going to use white durabak on one of the tops I have to see how it comes out.
I was thinking of either going with all original cordova brown code 81 or go with the lighter burnt orange(since the interior is already that color and they still make carpet that color)from like a 71 chevelle code 67 like the pic below...
Does anyone have a pic of a blazer that is burnt orange or copper with a white top? I was trying to get an idea of what it would look like.
There is also another brown that was offered in 1978 on my handycolor chip card. Apparently El Camino's came in code 69 Dark Camel Metallic which looks more like the color I am looking for.
Any thoughts? Also looking for a decent but affordable place to get it painted in/near the SF bay area.
