Alright gets tires first, then if you break the axles you will know. Then you have to buy new axles. So ok buy the tires and see if it can handle them and keep looking for a good deal on an axle. What tires are you planing on going with?

I voted for tires first even though I did it the other way round. Now I have a Dana 60 front a 14FF and a set of 37s in the garage that have yet to make there way underneath my K5 do to lack of funds to get all the little odds and ends together. Get tires, run it till it breaks then you "HAVE" to get a 60.

Tires would be the way to go because I don't care what axle you have if your tires don't grip then you will not get anywhere..

I'd get the d60 first, reason being, they aren't getting any less expensive. Tires are going to be the same price, and they continue to make them every day.
