I've been thinking about doing a steering cross over with a 4" lift. Would the flat top D44 knuckles from Dedenbear be a good choice for my 10 bolt?

Definately a good choice if you got the moolah.

I just got flattop 44 knuckles and had them drilled for 5/8" studs and new steering arms. New ball joints, new hubs, and so on and so forth.

We can get the Dedenbears for you, or we can sell you a pair of stock knuckles machined for crossover .Let us know what you would like to do.

Looking at redoing my suspension next spring. My '87 K5 had over 200,000 miles on it when I got it. It sits low. A 4" lift would probably raise me 6". While I'm at it, I want to upgrade my steering at the same time. Plan to make one purchase and get it all at once.

Typically D44 knuckles hold up pretty well with crossover. Unless you are going to be running big tires really hard with hydro assist I wouldn't spend the money on Dendenbears. I have been beating the heck out of my 10 bolt with lowsteer crossover for 2-3 years and had no problems with the knuckles. I ran 35" tires and now 37" tires.

D60's are the knuckles that typically have problems with big tires and hydro assist crossover. D44's don't tend to have the problem with knuckles cracking even with hydro assist.

Thanks for the info. As far as tires go, I'm only interested in 35's. My truck is a DD, so I want to keep it reasonable.;) ( for now )
