no one else seems to find this funny????i just rigged it today and it's hotter than it was. it really works i tell ya![]()

Thanks for the laugh, good thinkini've been trying to do it since december but i was too lazy to look for the drier duct crap.No it's not funny, cause I should have thought of that sooner!![]()

mine is under the dash Luke.and the linkage is froze up.PLUS , like a dumbass i took all the ductwork out and threw it away....There are a couple of things you could to for a short term fix:
-wire the door to the defroster vents open
-Wire the mode selector linkage. I think all the way to the right gives you defrosters. Really, you can get by with all vents working all the time (dash, floor, defrost)
It's not much more work to figure out why it doesn't work, though. Sometimes a vacuum line is broken (underhood more often than underdash).
i get ideas in my head and forget aboot the furure.then i'm searching for parts that i used to have.hell i threw away the manual doors from the jimmy body.
now i want two and have to make mine manual.
if i was a member before i started this thing,i would have known better.my wipers leave something to be desired also.i know aboot the snowstorm thing. man it sucks to not be able to see and have crappy conditions. the first decent snow we had this winter i drove JR to work.i had a headache from hell when i got there from trying to see what lane i was in. and it was dark.I'll see if I can find a picture on Steel Soldiers from a few months ago. Guy up here bought a Deuce and a half from the government down in Lansing and then proceeded to drive it up to the Petoskey area...remember they won't go past 55mph.
Oh yeah, did I mention this was during an evening of wet, heavy, blowing snow storms?
The OEM "dash vents" are pathetic at best and they predictably weren't functioning. Guy bought a small space heater and some dryer hose and they had it running up against the windshield to keep a very small area of it clean.
Oh yeah, and deuce wipers suck teh big one too...
but hey, being able to adjust my left head lights brightness from the dash guage dimmer switch gives me some control.went to a camera/telescope place and bought a 10 dollar heated 12v blow dryer and duct taped it to the dash and plugged it into the cig lighter when needed.

a guy i worked with used a hair dryer hooked to the cigg lighter.he said it worked??
